داستان حول محور چند تا دانشجو با شخصیت های مختلف و روابط بین اونها میچرخه هوانگ جیان یه نابغه تو زمینه علم و فناوریه و سو زی کونگ نسل دوم یه خانواده ثروتمند با ظاهر ، رفتار و نمره های خوبه. این دوتا فرصتی پیدا میکنن تا توسط یه استاد فیزیک کاربردی توی MIT استخدام بشن. برای همین به سرسخت ترین رقبای هم تبدیل میشن. هوانگ جیان برای اینکه بتونه امتیاز بیشتری به دست بیاره به یه سازمان ملحق میشه و اونجا با ژو ژو که یه گزارشگر تازه کاره و هویت خودش رو مخفی نگه داشته تا به یه داستان بزرگ برسه، روبه رو میشه.
