The Chase 2017 (Hangul: 반드시 잡는다; RR: Ban-deu-si Jab-neun-da) is a 2017 South Korean crime thriller film about a landowner who teams up with a former detective to chase after the suspect of a 30-year old unsolved case. The film was directed by Kim Hong-seon and stars Baek Yoon-sik and Sung Dong-il.The Chase 2017 Sim Deok-soo is a grumpy landlord running a run-down apartment complex. Suddenly his tenants begin disappearing under suspicious circumstances. A retired ex-detective shows up, claiming a serial murderer from 30 years back has returned.The Chase 2017 serial murder case took place. Detective Park Pyung-Dal (Sung Dong-Il) tried to catch the killer, but he failed. 30 years later, a new series of murders takes place in the same neighborhood. Sim Duk-Soo (Baek Yoon-Sik) owns property in the neighborhood and knows pretty much everything about the area. Park Pyung-Dal, who is now retired, asks for his help in catching the serial killer.
